Step by step what to do if you get into a car accident?
1.)If you get in a car accident, the first and most important thing you must do is is try to stay calm!
2.)If you have a cell phone, dial 911 and report the accident, if you don’t and you are not injured ask someone near by to call.
3.)Check you and your passengers for injuries, anyone with back or neck injuries should not more or be moved.
4.)If the accident is with another vehicle, check and see if anyone in the other vehicle is injured, remember anyone with back or neck injuries should not more or be moved.
5.)If there are serious injuries, do nothing further, just wait for help to arrive.
6.)If there are no serious injuries, exchange driver and insurance information with the driver of the other vehicle.
7.)No matter what, don’t leave the scene of the accident it is a serious crime, even if it’s minor or the other driver tells you it’s OK.
8.)Wait for police and emergency responders to show up and provide help and sort things out, arguing or fighting with the other driver will only make things worse.
9.)Accidents do happen, so be prepared with a plan ahead of time.
